THIS IS CHICKENSHIP!

Origin Story, Creative Biography, and Success to Date

ChickenShip began as a shared creative idea between Craig Shoemaker and David Feiss. It’s  an animated, family-friendly sci-fi comedy built around humor, heart, and a world that could grow over time. From the start, it wasn’t imagined as just one movie, but as a universe with room to expand, evolve, and connect with audiences of all ages.

The project was originally developed as a feature-length animated film, with the intention that it could naturally branch into episodic and short-form storytelling as the landscape changed. Craig and David shaped the concept together, blending Craig’s comedic sensibility and storytelling voice with David’s deep background in animation, character creation, and series development. That partnership helped define not only how ChickenShip looks and feels, but how it functions as a world that can sustain long-term storytelling.

Today, ChickenShip has grown into a fully realized animated property, with a completed screenplay, major voice talent attached, meaningful award recognition, and clear signs of audience enthusiasm. It stands as a professionally developed, platform-ready project with strong franchise potential and a creative foundation built to last.

Team Development & Project Expansion

As ChickenShip moved beyond early creative development, the team expanded to support audience growth and long-term planning.

Brittany Faslun joined as Director of Crypto and handled ChickenShip’s work on Film.io, including platform execution and audience engagement, while also supporting broader production strategy and Web3 integration. Clayton Banks contributed to Web3 planning and built the ThisIsChickenShip website. Faith Grant wrote the screenplay, bringing the story into a completed, production-ready script.

Film.io, GO Scores, and Audience Validation

ChickenShip entered Film.io as a way to publicly validate audience interest in a competitive, data-driven environment. Film.io hosts hundreds — and at times thousands — of film and television projects that compete simultaneously for visibility and advancement.

Unlike traditional development models driven solely by executive decision-making, Film.io allows audiences to actively support projects through measurable engagement, including following, rating and reviewing, staking tokens, sharing socially, and returning for repeat interaction.

A project’s performance on Film.io is measured by its GO Score, the platform’s primary ranking metric. In simple terms, a GO Score reflects how many people support a project, how active those supporters are, and how the project performs relative to others on the platform. Scores are calculated using multiple data points, including supporters, followers, token activity, ratings, reviews, views, and referrals.

ChickenShip’s Film.io Success

ChickenShip did not simply participate on Film.io — it set a platform milestone.

ChickenShip became the first project on Film.io to achieve a GO Score of 100, establishing a new benchmark for early audience engagement. At its peak, ChickenShip ranked #1 out of more than 200 competing projects, placing it in the top 1% of all projects on the platform at that time.

This performance reflected organic, community-driven participation and allowed ChickenShip to outperform hundreds of other projects competing simultaneously for audience attention, without the benefit of traditional studio marketing budgets.
